French resources

Here are a few French language children's resources that we like.

Magazines:
Bayard / Milan Jeunesse magazines: http://www.frenchmagforkids.com/collection_mag.html
These are great and there are magazines for all ages and to suit most tastes.
Subscriptions also include a web-based system for children aged 3+.

French language radio:
Radio Junior: http://www.radiojunior.com/
Radio Ouistiti: http://www.radioouistiti.ch/radioouistiti_laradio.html

Books / CDs for little ones:
Mon Imagier Sonore (http://www.gallimard-jeunesse.fr/Catalogue/GALLIMARD-JEUNESSE/Les-Imagiers/Mon-imagier-sonore)
This board book has one image per page accompanied by the relevant noise on the CD - a firm favourite for little ones.

Comptines à chanter (http://www.editionsmilan.com/af9e6da2/Comptines-du-chaton-vert.html)
A lovely take on traditional songs with upbeat music. We listened to these over and over again on long car journeys when the children were little.

Antoon Krings' 'Drôles de Petites Bêtes' stories (http://www.gallimard-jeunesse.fr/Personnages/Droles-de-Petites-Betes)
A whole series of fun stories about different characters which appear in several stories.

'Petit Bleu et Petit Jaune' by Léo Lionni (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Petit-bleu-petit-jaune-Léo-Lionni/dp/2211011713/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1353939143&sr=8-1)

A lovely story about friendship between a blue blob and a yellow blob!

Cartoons / films:
When they were little (around 2-3), 'T'choupi et Doudou' was a popular DVD choice for Dragonfly and Bee.

I bought the whole Cities of Gold (Cités d'Or) series earlier this year and Dragonfly and Bee were instantly hooked. They have watched the whole lot twice in the past 8 months.

Apps:
La dictée muette Montessori (https://itunes.apple.com/fr/app/dictee-montessori-hd-apprends/id396224808?mt=8). A little French spelling app that rewards each completed word with a pretty animation.

Websites:
Not particularly linguistic, but we do like this intriguing intuitive site for kids: http://www.poissonrouge.com/
